Apologies

Posted by Brad Haas on May 23rd, 2006

I’d like to apologize for the strange and sometimes offensive spam that invaded the comments these past few days.  We have “Akismet,” the venerable spam filter plugin, running now, and it’s trapping spams faster than missionaries trap the obvious non-member at a sacrament meeting (and that’s fast, believe you me).  I bear the blame for the spam, because I didn’t help set up all the plugins right away.  Mea culpa.

I need to apologize for me, too.  I haven’t written a thing.  So, starting awfully soon, I’ll let fly with a post and we can get this show on the road.

One suggestion: The middle section is too small unless you maximize the window. I suggest you make both columns narrower so there is more room for the text. Compare Dave’s Mormon Inquiry: http://mormoninquiry.typepad.com/

Also, the HTML is not very IE friendly - the middle section gets split up just after “Leave a Reply”

Great idea for a site, though. I am looking forward to to participating as a commenter here.

I would also move the comment / post history up near the top…

    Mark,

I will get right on it, hopefully I can get things fixed by Monday. I appreciate your suggestions, especially since I generally see the site widescreen in Firefox and haven’t used IE much.
