Call for Catholic Submissions

Posted by Dave Keller on 10th July 2006

I haven’t written for this blog for quite awhile and I am very busy right now with my college stuff. I have also been researching positions on Mormon priesthood development that will take much but not all of the sting of criticisms that Mormons, such as Hugh Nibley, have made about Catholic priesthood development.

Bah

Posted by Brad Haas on 31st May 2006

Well, plans for the weekend have suddenly become plans for tomorrow, so instead of writing a post tonight and tomorrow, I’ll do it over the weekend.  This thing will get kick-started, I promise.

Apologies

Posted by Brad Haas on 23rd May 2006

I’d like to apologize for the strange and sometimes offensive spam that invaded the comments these past few days.  We have “Akismet,” the venerable spam filter plugin, running now, and it’s trapping spams faster than missionaries trap the obvious non-member at a sacrament meeting (and that’s fast, believe you me).  I bear the blame for the spam, because I didn’t help set up all the plugins right away.  Mea culpa.

I need to apologize for me, too.  I haven’t written a thing.  So, starting awfully soon, I’ll let fly with a post and we can get this show on the road.

My staunch Catholic co-founder, Brad Haas has been very busy since this blog launched with finals and hasn’t settled in for summer yet. Not to mention having to suffer through the emotional turmoil of breaking up with a long time LDS girlfriend shortly after Easter. He has been most helpful in getting this site recognition from his own well established blog, Defensor Veritatis, which is Latin for “Defender of Truth.” So please treat his site as a companion to this one, until we can to coax more Catholic personalities to post. Howdy

Posted by Brad Haas on 12th April 2006

I’m Brad Haas, a.k.a. Defensor Veritatis.  I’ll be representing the Catholic side of things around here.  I became acquainted with Dave on the Catholic Answers discussion forum, and I was honored and excited when he approached me with the idea for this blog.  I look forward to the discussions, although for now I don’t have enough time to post very much.  Feel free to comment or email me with any questions, or stop by my more-Catholic-oriented blog if you’re interested.  Ciao!
